I'm looking out at the lake as I write this today. Puffy cumulous clouds give contrast to the blue sky and bluer lake. We slithered through a very short spring here in this part of Wisconsin and are now into early summer weather. That means warm days, cool nights, and not much humidity. But all that horrid rain and flooding of a few weeks ago have allowed the mosquitoes to breed with abandon.
One goes outside at the own risk of being bitten constantly or smelling like bug repellent. That turns off everyone but the mosquitoes.
So I stay inside and write and research. I look out the window rather than being out for long periods. This is beneficial as I've got a contract now and am busy in my office more than ever.
