"A book is like a garden carried in the pocket."
- Chinese proverb
"Health, happiness and success depend upon the fighting spirit of each person. The big thing is not what happens to us in life - but what we do about what happens to us."
- George Allen
I do most of my writing in my office. I have three large windows that look out over Lake Michigan in a panoramic view. At the very right edge of the window bank, are the limbs of a tree which changes with the seasons as leaves bud, open, change color or are no longer. Three out of those cycles the limbs attract a wonderful array of birds. In the winter, cardinals and sometimes crows might light for a bit.
The ever-changing scene helps rest my eyes when I move away from focusing on the monitor. That's very helpful as I spend hours each day at my computer.
Since it's winter now, staying inside where it's warm works best for me. Hope you have a healthy winter season.
