"Bittersweet October. The mellow, messy, leaf-kicking, perfect pause between the opposing miseries of summer and winter."
~Carol Bishop Hipps
For some of you who don't have season changes in your climate, I hope you enjoy the autumn vibrancy these photos celebrate. For those of you who do have fall, enjoy the color and cheer without having to leave your computer, rake the leaves, or button up your residence for the soon-to-come winter.
As for me, my favorite season of the year is fall. In Wisconsin, many of us believe it is our best season weather-wise: crisp nights, cool days, lots of sun and blue skies, and no mosquitoes. Of course, where I live, fall brings out the dreaded Asian lady beetles which can be vicious if they bite; and in the fall, they are HUNGRY! Despite the beetles, I still love fall, and I hope for this year, our fall weather will last until early December.
Roni's Gallery has fall photos all taken in Wisconsin.
MJ's Gallery has photos from Alaska, fall color at low tide in Maine at the shore, the aspens on a New Mexico mountainside, Door County, Wisconsin and finally a golf course not far from my home. Enjoy.
“Every leaf speaks bliss to me, fluttering from the autumn tree.”

"Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns."
